Sport Relief
We have decided to complete the Sport Relief mile as a sponsored walk/obstacle course using our one way system. One lap of our one-way system is approximately 200 metres, therefore eight laps are equivalent to a mile. Who knew we were supporting everyone’s fitness regimes when we introduced this system! Did you realise that if you drop off and collect your children four times a week, you’ve walked an extra mile! On Friday 21st March (good weather dependant) the children will take part in a phase group dance-off, using a hip-hop routine learned in school, before taking part in the challenge, one class at a time. All children are to participate, completing up to 8 laps each. To make this a ‘fun’ fundraising day, they are also invited to dress in sports wear of their choosing. It would be great to have a school full of footballers, ballerinas, gymnasts, scuba divers...you name it! Every child has been given a sponsor form and further copies can be downloaded from the school website if required. There will be prizes for the children who raise the most money—watch this space for more information. Parental support on the day would be welcomed.
