The Lyppard Grange Primary School Empowering children to be secure, engaged and equipped for life.

Key Stage 1

Key Stage 1

  • Tuesday 5th February - KS1 special E-Safety awareness assembly

In the KS1 Assembly the children were introduced to Lee & Kim and their adventures in cyberspace. Four top tips were highlighted for the children to think about and to always keep at the front of their minds whenever using the internet:

  1. People you don't know are strangers - they may not always be who they say they are!
  2. Be nice to people on the computer like you would in the playground.
  3. Keep your personal information private (name, age, school, address etc).
  4. If you ever get that 'uh-oh' feeling you should tell a grown-up you trust.
Children were also reminded about the importance of keeping passwords SECRET and NOT sharing their passwords with their friends.

If you would like to find out more about Lee & Kim's adventures yourself, and maybe re-visit the video with your child, see below for the link to move to the ThinkUKnow website where you can watch the Lee & Kim cartoon and access more resources for your children.

(Please note this video may not work in some browsers - if you have any difficulties try using a different browser.
This is a CEOP resource and nothing to do with Lyppard Grange Primary School.)

Hector's World (also on the ThinkUKnow.co.uk website) further illustrates to KS1 children how to use their computers safely.
