Now that SATs are finished, we are returning to our usual homework. We expect every child to complete every part of their homework each week.
As usual, there will be a battle set on TTRS. Please ensure you spend at least 10 minutes working towards this. Remember, it is a team effort, so everyone needs to contribute to helps us succeed. The battles run from Friday at 3.30 and end on a Wednesday at 8.45. Any TTRS completed outside of this time will count towards your homework, but will not earn a battle counter.
Design and Technology
For homework this week we would like you to do some market research into different types of bread ready for our ‘Year 6 Bake Off’ competition.
Have a look at all the different types of bread you can get in a supermarket. Take note of ingredients and look at the traffic light indicator on the front to see how healthy the bread is. What different flavours can you get? What different shapes and designs of bread can you find?
You could take photos, draw sketches or simply write down the names of each type. Present your findings in whatever what you feel is appropriate, e.g. a poster or information sheet. You must be prepared to share your findings in next week's lesson.
Maths
Here is your maths for this week - it is a variety of questions linked to fractions, decimals and percentages. You should be spending 30 minutes on this task. If you get it done quicker, you could try creating your own problem solving question for a friend. If you do not get it all completed in the time, that is fine as long as you have tried your best. We have given you all a paper copy of the task, but if you lose it or were away when they were given out, the link to the sheet is below.
