Harvest Assemblies - Friday 16th October 2026

This year’s Harvest Festivals will take place on Friday 16th October. Key Stage 2’s festival (Years 3, 4, 5 & 6) will begin at 9:00am, and EYFS and Key Stage 1’s festival (Early Years, Years 1 & 2) will begin at 2:30pm. As well as singing together as a key stage, each year group will also be performing their own short piece as part of our harvest celebration. We would love you to join us but, due to the available space in the hall, we ask that only one person per family attend each of the assemblies, where there will be some seating available as well as some standing room. Please wait by the Early Years outdoor classroom gate where you will be let in once all the children are seated.

Children are invited to bring a food donation; this should be tinned or packet food only please. Please send this into school with your child on Thursday 15th October where it will be displayed in the hall during our assemblies the next day. This year, the food you donate will be going to our chosen charity, Headway, again. For more information, please visit their website: www.headwayworcestershire.org.uk. Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to seeing you there.

Christmas Card Project and Workshop - Wednesday 21st October 2026

Please find attached a letter about our Christmas Card Project as well as a booklet full of artwork ideas. The project provides the opportunity for you to create a piece of artwork with your child either at home or at our Christmas Card Workshop to turn into cards and a range of other gifts. If your child would like to take part in the project, please collect a uniquely coded order form from their class teacher, The Den or the front office before Monday 2nd November. If you wish to take part in the workshop, please book a place using the link in the letter. Thank you.

Year 6 Elves Required - If your child (Year 6 only) would be interested in supporting Mrs Thorp to run the Christmas Card Workshop on Wednesday 21st October please click here to complete the consent form by Monday 19th October at 9am. The role involves them organising and distributing resources, supporting younger children and clearing away at the end of the session. Ideally they would be needed from 3:30 – 5:15pm. They are invited to wear a Santa hat, an elf hat or any other Christmas themed headband. Unfortunately there is not the opportunity for them to create their own artwork during the session if they are volunteering as a helper.

Remembrance Assembly - Friday 6th November 2026 - and Poppy Sales – commencing 3rd November 2026

Our Year 6 children will be leading our whole school Remembrance Assembly at 10:30am on Friday 7th November. Parents and carers of Year 6 children are invited to join us for this event. Please note, there will NOT be any Congratulations Assemblies on this day.

We will be selling poppies from the British Legion from Tuesday 3rd November in the lead up to our Remembrance Day assembly. If your child would like to buy a poppy, please send their donation in to school with them in a named envelope from Monday 2nd November. These need to be handed to their class teacher on arrival at school and will be given back to the child to purchase a poppy when our Year 6 volunteers arrive in their classroom.

Parent Consultation Meetings - Tuesday 10th and Thursday 12th November 2026

You are invited into school for face-to-face parent consultation meetings. These meetings represent an important opportunity for you to meet with your child’s class teacher(s) and to gain an understanding of how well your child has settled into their new class and the new school year, what they are doing well with, what their current targets are and how you can support them at home. Each appointment is scheduled to last no more than ten minutes. These will be taking place in the school hall on Tuesday 10th November between 4.00pm and 7.00pm and Thursday 12th November between 4.00pm and 7.00pm.

Please see the attached letter and guidance regarding booking your appointment(s). Thank you.

Children in Need - Friday 13th November 2026

Our dressing up event in support of 'Children in Need' will take place on FRIDAY 13th NOVEMBER. This year, our theme is 'Roll Up! Roll Up!', so the children are invited to come dressed in non-uniform with the theme of the circus in any way they wish. This may be being dressed as a clown or a trapeze artist, having their face painted as a circus animal or just coming as a spectator in their own clothes. Costumes do not need to be expensive or extravagant - a red nose and a funny hair style is all that is required. Further details about our fundraising activity will follow nearer the time. Please note, there will NOT be any Congratulations Assemblies on this day.

National Anti-Bullying Week - week commencing 16th November 2026

To mark the start of National Anti-Bullying Week we are inviting all of the children to wear 'odd socks' with their school uniform. This takes place on MONDAY 16th NOVEMBER and acts as a reminder that everyone is unique. This year's theme is Break the Silence. Further details will follow nearer the time.
