  • Lyppard Lock-ins

These ‘Lyppard Lock-ins’ are specifically designed for Art and outline the key knowledge, skills and connected learning pupils need to secure in each year group. They are used consistently to support “interrupting forgetting” through retrieval practice, and to inform both formative and summative assessment. By aligning pre- and post-unit assessment tasks with the ‘Lyppard Lock-ins’, teachers can meaningfully assess pupils’ understanding of Art and use this information to guide future planning and ensure progression in this subject.
