Back in the cold, dull afternoons of January, Gardening Club - over the course of three weeks - planted more than 400 hyacinth bulbs! We kept them in the green house, and each week club members watered the bulbs and used shelf rotation to ensure that they all got enough sunlight. Fast forward to March, and the most delightful fragrance was wafting out of the greenhouse, as 400 hyacinths bloomed. On Friday 28th March, Gardening Club and members of the Eco Committee set up stalls in the playground and sold the hyacinths. Over £500 was raised and the money will be put towards buying new lights for school discos. Well done, Gardening Club!
