2026 is going to be a busy year for both Gardening Club and Eco Committee members. In the weeks leading up to Christmas, gardening club were busy planning 420 hyacinth bulbs. These bulbs are now in the greenhouse and are being watered and rotated so that they all get a turn in the sunshine (when it makes an appearance!)

In March, the Friday before Mothering Sunday, we will once again be selling our 'Heartful hyacinths'. More information will follow. Last year we raised over £500 and the money was used to buy new lights for our school discos. We are hoping raise even more money this year.
Also in March, we will be holding our Annual whole school community litter pick, when Years 2-6 each spend an hour picking up litter in the area surrounding the school site. This event will be part of Keep Britain Tidy's 'Great British Spring Clean'. More details are to follow.

In the spring, gardening club will be planting some vegetables and plants. We are hoping to be able to enter them in this year's Worcester Show.

It has now been two years since we were last awarded an Eco School's Green Flag, so we have to apply again in 2026. Therefore Eco Committee members will be undertaking an Environmental Review to see whether we need to focus on Energy, Biodiversity, Global Citizenship, Healthy Living, Litter, Marine, School Grounds, Transport or Waste for this year's application. Watch this space for more details.
