Our Fifth Theme - The Remarkable Romans

Year 3 were very excited to discover a 'time capsule' buried in the school grounds. Once it was opened, we found 5 dairy pages, these made us ask lots of questions and started us on our quest to discover more about the Remarkable Romans.

As part of learning about the Romans we held a Roman Day. We dressed up as Romans and spent the day enjoying activities that the Romans would have enjoyed.

As part of our learning about the Romans and in line with our learning in Design and Technology we created our own bags. We then invited our parents in to help us with the sewing.

We also visited the Roman Baths in Bath for the day to help us to really understand how the Romans lived. We had a great day. There was a visit to the bath house itself and we were able to carry out some activities linked to archaeology as well as dressing as Romans.
