Focus Activity - Creative

 

Have a go at creating an image of what you would like in your fruit bowl. You can use anything you would like, the more creative the better. You could use paint, collage material, pens, pencils. Here are some examples to help.

Peg Activity - Writing

 

Have a look at the picture below. What do you think the two girls could be talking about? Have a go at writing your ideas or you could write the conversation you think he might be having. Think about how they look in the picture. Remember to use capital letters, finger spaces and full stops. Use the phonics sounds to help you sound out words. 

Lolly Activity - Maths

 

Dr Rose needs some help in working out how many tens and ones she has. Have a look at the sheet and see if you can help her out. If you need to, you can make the numbers practically to help you e.g. 24 find 2 groups of ten and 4 ones. This can help you to see the answer more easily. 

Focus Activity - Phonics

 

Have a go at using the ‘Does it look right? strategy’ to help you spell the words below. Remember to phonetically spell the words and use your robot arms to help you.

Focus Activity - Tricky Word

 

We are going to have a go at practising some of our tricky words. We are going to give you a word a day to practise. Today your tricky word is move.

 

Choose one of the options, or anything you can find at home, and write the tricky word for today using that resource. See how many times you can write the word in a minute! Then choose 3 more resources and rewrite move using;

 

  1. Rainbow writing
  2. Sand, flour, rice
  3. Paint
  4. Water
  5. Mud
  6. Chalk
  7. Glitter

Let’s go on Safari!

 

When we are describing where places are on a map, or how to get from one place to another, we can use a compass to help us. Compasses have four main points: north, south, east and west.

 

We have a map of where some amazing safari animals are. Use the map and the instructions to help find them!
