Week Nine

Hello Year 5,

We hope you and your families have had a safe and productive week at home and enjoyed last week’s activities. This week, we are continuing with our China theme as we have been amazed by the work that we have seen from you so far. Look in the writing section to find out how you will put your knowledge of the Terracotta Army to good use. Make sure you check out the Maths section to revisit some of our Year 5 fractions objectives. Remember you can ask your parents to share your amazing work with us on Twitter by tagging @LyppardSchool or @MrMasonTeacher.

As always, don’t worry if you are finding things tricky just try your best with the tasks we have given you and remember how proud of you we are. Make sure you also take the time to ensure you continue to do some of your hobbies. Maybe you could play a board game with your family, do some drawing or organise a video chat with your friends.

The staff in Year 5 have been working hard in preparing activities for you to complete at home. However, in their down time they have been keeping busy and being creative. Mrs Evans has made her own dress from scratch! While Miss Morris has continued being creative with her gardening designs. Mrs Phillips has been keeping active and has been practicing her football skills with her sons.

All of us in Year 5 have been missing you tremendously and cannot wait to see you soon.

Mr Mason, Miss Harris, Mrs Evans, Mrs Phillips, Mrs McCluskey and Miss Morris J
