Another week of home learning completed, well done Year 5! We are incredibly proud of how you have all been working so hard over the last few weeks and you should be too. We can’t wait to have you back in school again when it is safe to do so. In the meantime, keep up the super work!

Mindfulness

Today is the final day of the mindfulness activity you have been completing this week. Write down one positive thing that has happened during the day. This could be that you heard your favourite song on the radio or you enjoyed a lovely dog walk with your family or you had your favourite meal for tea! Write down one thing each day and keep these somewhere. You might want to right them in a notebook or stick them somewhere each day. You can share this with us during our golden time today if you wish. 

Maths

Today in our 9am lesson we are going to be learning about capacity. It is vital that you attend this session. Following the lesson you need to complete the task below at your relevant level.

Guided Reading

This week your reading target has been to draw inferences such as inferring characters’ feelings, thoughts and motives from their actions, and justifying inferences with evidence. Today we would like you to read the character description about Dr Reeper and then answer the questions in your relevant task.

Spelling

Today you are going to write your spelling words in sentences. Make sure you use the correct spelling in the correct context.

Theme

As part of our theme work today, we will be building up our music skills. We have attached a document below that explains everything you need to know but we just want you to experiment with different instruments to create different harmonies and tones.

Number Magic

You need to complete your relevant level for Number Magic. If you want to challenge yourself, try completing the next level instead.

Music
