Week Eight

Hello Year 5,

We hope you and your families have had a safe and productive week at home and enjoyed having a week off from home learning activities for half term. This week, we are continuing with our China theme as there are simply so many amazing and fascinating things to learn about this awesome country. Look in the writing section to find out all about the legendary Terracotta Army. Make sure you check out the Maths section where you can revisit our Year 5 graphs and tables objectives. Remember you can ask your parents to share your amazing work with us on Twitter by tagging @LyppardSchool or @MrMasonTeacher.

As always, don’t worry if you are finding things tricky, just try your best with the tasks we have given you and remember how proud of you we are. Make sure you also take the time to ensure you continue to do some of your hobbies. Maybe you could have a kick about in the back garden, go on a bike ride, play your favourite computer game or create your own dance.

During this time of glorious sunshine, the staff in Year 5 have been working hard in preparing activities for you to complete at home. However, in their down time they have been trying to keep active. Mr Mason has been on a walk every day and has enjoyed seeing some of the wonderful wildlife return and thrive along the river. Miss Harris has also been keeping active by walking her dog Reggie. She has also bought him a new harness and we all think he looks very handsome in it.

All of us in Year 5 have been missing you tremendously and cannot wait to see you soon.

Mr Mason, Miss Harris, Mrs Evans, Mrs Phillips, Mrs McCluskey and Miss Morris J
