Happy Friday!
Year 5 enjoyed a fabulous visit to the Space Centre on Thursday. We found out lots about space as well as visiting the Planetarium, attending a workshop about an astronaut's experience in space and finding out about space rovers.
Homework this week is as follows:
Reading - Please read daily for at least 20 minutes and write into your reading journal to let us know where you have got up to. A simple comment, a page number or even jotting down of new words that you have come across would be great.
Maths - Battle of the Bands is still taking place with many children keen to earn lots of coins for their classes. Let's make it a Year 5 win as we continue battling against other classes so that we can top up the counters in our class jars. We've noticed a positive impact on our maths challenge scores as our times table knowledge is becoming more fluent. Remember, to earn a counter for your class jar, you must go onto TTRS for at least 10 minutes and to earn a bonus counter, your answers must be at least 95% accurate.
SPaG - This week's homework is about keeping a consistent tense throughout a piece of writing so that it makes sense. Please click the link below to download your homework.
Many thanks for your continued support,
The Year 5 Team
