Post-SATs Forest School

The children worked incredibly hard during SATs week and we were extremely proud of them all. To celebrate the end of SATs, we had a whole day up at Forest School and had a fabulous time. We challenged the children to complete a range of tasks in their teams in order to earn points and saw some excellent teamwork, creativity and enthusiasm from them throughout the day. There were incredibly long bridges, tall towers, excellent camouflage, waterproof shelters and even new team mates made out of natural materials! In addition to all of this excitement, we also made pitta pizzas and s'mores which we cooked on the fire and then enjoyed along with a hot chocolate. The day culminated in an awards ceremony for the winning team, along with bonus awards for best teamwork, nature detective, most creative, friedliest forester, Bear Grylls award and best individual performance. A great day was had by all and it was the perfect way to round off the week of hard work in our SATs.
