The Lyppard Grange Primary School Empowering children to be secure, engaged and equipped for life.

Friday 8th October 2021

Reading: You should read for at least 20 minutes each day and record your activity in your Reading Journal.

Maths Challenge:  You should spend at least 30 minutes practising the times tables that have been set for you on TT Rock Stars.  We are now half way through the tournament and the scores are very close with Mrs Tilley's class just taking the lead.

We would like to see everyone showing the Lyppard Learning value of teamwork and taking part.

Theme: Next week we will be reading poetry and focusing on figurative language.  We would like you to find a poem about space that you would be happy to share with the class.  If the poem is short enough to recite then you should try to learn it by heart.  If it is a longer poem then you should be able to read it with fluency and expression.  We look forward to hearing them!

Music: Children are now allowed to take their cornet home to practise.  They have also been given a letter with information on how they can access Charanga YUMU.  The music teacher has set them some work to complete on the note 'C'.  You will find a copy of the letter attached below.

Cardboard request!

Next week children will begin to design their space displays.  If you have any large (bigger than A3) sheets of card, that you no longer need,  could you please send them into school so that children can use them.  Thank you!
