Writing

We hope you enjoyed creating your interactive map of China and writing pieces on the Great Wall of China. This week, we are continuing to look at the country of China and have set you both writing and creative tasks based on this. This country has so much to offer and has some truly amazing historical artefacts, including the Terracotta Army. Read on to find out what you will be writing about this army this week.

Writing Task 1

For your first writing task, we would like you to conduct some research on the Terracotta Army. Below, we have provided a research template for your relevant level and have also given you some links that you may want to use to find information. The information that you find will then help you with your second writing task.

Writing Task 2

For this task, we would like you to create an informative fact file about the Terracotta Army. This text should use headings and sub headings to help organise the information and provide as much interesting information to engage the reader as possible. We cannot wait to see them!

Creative Activity

As your writing tasks are based on the Terracotta Army, we would like you to create your very own Terracotta Warrior. How you do this is up to you! You could sketch a picture of one, create one from resources around your home or use clay to create a 3D, detailed model. Click on the document below to find out more information and examples of how you could do this.
