Mindfulness

Your mindfulness activity is going to run all week. Each day we would like you to write down one positive thing that has happened during the day. This could be that you heard your favourite song on the radio or you enjoyed a lovely dog walk with your family or you had your favourite meal for tea! Write down one thing each day and keep these somewhere. You might want to write them in a notebook or stick them somewhere each day. You can share this with us at the end of the week if you want to or just take some time to individually reflect on the great things that have happened at the end of the week.

Maths

This week in Maths we will be learning about volume and capacity. Today your 9am lesson will focus on what volume is and how we calculate it. Following this session, you need to look at the link below to consolidate your learning. Then you need to complete the Maths task below at your relevant level.

Theme

As part of our theme work, we are going to be investigating gravity and air resistance today. You need to read the document that is attached below and watch the videos that are on there. Following this, you have a couple of short experiments to carry out, along with some other optional ones.

PE

For PE today we would like you to login to the Real PE website (find the login details below) and click on the seated balance section, like last week. Once on there, work through the coloured levels again to build up your skills and then have a go at the seated tandem cycling activity. You can do this individually or with someone else at home.

If you are unable to access the website you could go for a walk, or do some other form of exercise.

Spelling

This week we are going to be focussing on homophones for our spellings. Today your spelling activity is to identify the meanings for our homophone spellings.

Guided Reading

For Guided Reading today, you need to watch the line by line video in the Video Resource Centre and answer the questions that are asked. You should pause the video when given the opportunity so that you can answer them in full sentences.

Number Magic

You need to complete your relevant level for Number Magic. If you want to challenge yourself, try completing the next level instead.

Handwriting

Watch the video below and complete the letters that you have been show in your best handwriting.
