Home Learning Material

March-July 2020

We hope you are all getting on well with your home learning and are really excited to share some new resources with you (these will be added to the useful websites page).

AJB Sports in Education (our extra-curricular sports provider) have provided us with some brilliant daily challenges for all children in school. You will find these at the top of the P.E. Useful Links page - why not give them a try!

On the Useful Websites page, there are links to organisations that can offer emotional and practical support during these uncertain times. It is important to remember, you are never alone.

Extra, Extra, Read All About It!

As a school we have a subscription to First News, a newspaper aimed specifically at young readers, and can now provide you with a PDF version of the paper each week so your child can keep up to date with what’s going on around the world. Just click on the link below to get access to this week’s news – look at page 8 to read all about a ten square mile plague of locusts in Argentina and a green onion cereal, which is now available in South Korea - yum!

The link will be updated each week with the new edition of the paper.

We work really hard in school to learn some sign language, particularly during our singing assemblies. If you would like to learn more signing, british-sign.co.uk are offering their online courses on a 'pay what you can' basis. https://www.british-sign.co.uk/learn-online-british-sign-language-course/

#OnlineSafetyAtHome from Thinkuknow. New home activity packs from the team at Thinkuknow have been uploaded, with simple 15 minute activities you can do with your child to support their online safety at a time when they may be spending more time online at home.

Hopefully you have already seen the 25 non-screen activities but don't worry if you haven't because the original document is still available below. Another 25 fun activities have been added - how many will you complete?
