Lest We Forget

Today we celebrated VE Day, marking the end of WW2 in Europe and signalling the end of our theme too. Everyone looked fantastic in their outfits, really embracing 1940's style and we have had an amazing day celebrating the 77th anniversary of Victory in Europe. We have made bunting, learned about the significance of VE Day and played some 1940's games, including marbles and flap the fish.

The children have worked incredibly hard during our World War Two theme and have been resepctful and mature throughout. Over the last few weeks, we have been busy choreography the Lindy Hop, harmonising “The White Cliffs of Dover,” and developing body percussion in a military style. Below are the videos from the children’s performances, which they have been very excited to share with you.
