Bishop's Wood - Stone Age

Throughout the second half of the Spring Term, Year 3 learnt all about our Stone Age Ancestors.

We found out all about how these fascinating people lived their lives and used time lines to explore just how long the Stone Age period lasted.

To help us gain an even deeper understanding of these incredible early people we went on a visit to Bishops Wood. Whilst we were there we experienced migration across landmasses (we had to pack up our camp, make a make-shift carrying device for all our belongings and then transport it). We also practised fire lighting, hunting and gathering and home making using wattle and daub. We finished the day cave painting with charcoal and chalk - just like real Stone Age people.
