The Inclusivity Games
A group of 11 children, from Y5/6, were given the unique opportunity to try out some very different sports events last Monday, when they attended an Olympic style event at the University of Worcester Arena. The event was aimed at demonstrating to children that sport can be an inclusive activity and so our lucky few were given the chance to take part in ‘Sitting Volleyball’, ‘Blindfold Football’, ‘Kneeling Curling’ and, their all time favourite, ‘Wheelchair Basketball’ which involved some incredibly fast cornering and speedy sprints down the court. All the children had a great time and came back to school bubbling with excitement; three of them managed to help their team to come second and received a silver medal for their efforts! Well done everybody.
