  • Building Work Update ...

    Fri 28 Mar 2014
We now have viewing windows, much to the excitement of the children, the staff and even the OFSTED inspector! The construction company have purchased a set of hard hats and high-visibility jackets for the children - this is not because they need a larger workforce to meet the deadline but so that we can organise site visits for the children over the coming weeks.

    Very exciting!

  • Sports Report 28th March ...

    Thu 27 Mar 2014

Congratulations once again to our football team who secured an impressive  7-0 win against local rivals, Cranham Primary. The team’s dominance was best summed up by our very own goalkeeper, Tom, who said “I was frozen rigid with my feet glued to the spot as the ball very rarely came near me. I only got a touch of the ball about 3 times!”

Our netball team also put in a sterling effort this week but were unfortunately  defeated by  Oldbury Park.

We were impressed by the good sporting conduct shown by both teams. Well done to all of you.

  • Building Update ...

    Sun 23 Mar 2014
We have shared with the builders your disappointment at not being able to view the progress of the build and they have promised to create several windows in the screening at various heights. They have also agreed to organise times for each class to have a supervised tour of the site. These will take place over the next few weeks.

  • Footballing Success!

    Sun 23 Mar 2014

And bounce back they did ... our Football Team won 2-0 against Perrywood Primary School on Thursday 20th March.

In driving rain on a bobbly surface the team put in a gritty performance and showed great team spirit and character once again.

As this match was a 'double header', they not only recorded their second win in the league but also progressed to the next round of the Worcester City Large Schools Cup.

    Great effort!

  • Sports Report ...

    Wed 19 Mar 2014

Again, our football and netball teams have been out and about representing our school.

Our netball team did us proud in their efforts against Perdiswell Primary School this week, even though we conceded defeat with a score of 4-3.

Our football team have been in action twice since our last newsletter. In a very hard fought game, the team ground out a 1-0 victory over Oasis Academy, Warndon. The team showed plenty of character and tenacity to take the three points. Despite earning their first win of the season, the children could not carry the momentum into this week’s fixture against Northwick Manor. Sadly the 8-1 score-line did not reflect the hard work and team spirit shown by all those involved. The team will look to bounce back when they take on Cranham Primary next week.

  • Building Work continued ...

    Fri 14 Mar 2014
This week bricklayers have been making the most of the improved weather and the shell of a building is clearly taking shape. Drainage pipes have also been laid in.
  • Sunflowers ...

    Fri 14 Mar 2014
As part of their Market Gardening Project, Year 3/4 children have set the whole school the challenge of growing the tallest sunflower. Each class has been given a sunflower seed in a pot and now have the task of nurturing it through the next few months with the aim of having the tallest, strongest, healthiest plant at the end of the summer term. Perhaps you might also like to take up the challenge at home!
  • Welcome!

    Fri 07 Mar 2014
Mrs Wendy Sutton joins our teaching staff, providing PPA cover throughout the school, and Mrs Roxy Smith and Mrs Helen Dann join our team of enthusiastic lunchtime supervisors, armed with the task of keeping the children entertained and occupied during their lunchtime breaks. We are thrilled to have them joining our staff team and ask that you and the children make them feel welcome.
  • Sports Report

    Fri 07 Mar 2014

On Thursday 6th March our netball team played away against Whittington Primary and won 6-3. Everybody played well together as a team. CONGRATULATIONS!

Our football team have also been in action. They made the quarter finals of a tournament held at Worcester Univer-sity. After a very strong showing in the group stages, they were beaten by Cherry Orchard Primary School who were eventual runners-up to Pitmaston Primary - the team Lyppard had drawn with in the group stages!

The team also travelled to Perdiswell Primary this week for a league match—the first of the season. Again they made a strong start but were eventually
