‘Oz—The Truth’ wowed packed audiences this week as our Y6 pupils took to the stage, supported by their Y5 peers. They took us on a journey through time to discover the truth behind the Wizard of Oz, using song, dance and acting to tell their tale. As was said at each performance, every child took on the challenge given to them with confidence and pride, whether that be embracing their character and staying in role, singing solo, speaking a line or managing the set, lights and sound. Each child had a different role to play which, once united, created a performance of which to be proud. The audience laughed at the comic timing, smiled at the singing, watched the dancing with awe and envy and even shed some tears, but what was most evident was the pride that filled the room as families, friends and staff watched the Class of ‘14 give their final performance.
