Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
“At 8.00 am on Tuesday 19th April, Year 3 and 4 children and staff arrived at school, excited about their trip to @Bristol. During the day they had the opportunity to explore a whole range of interactive Science activities including making animations, driving a large hamster wheel, generating electricity as well as trying to cover themselves in a large bubble! They also took part in a workshop where they programmed a Lego robot to navigate around a course. Whilst lots of fun was had the activities will also inspire the inventions work that the children are carrying out in school with Wallace and Gromit. The children were excellent ambassadors for Lyppard Grange and we were particularly delighted with how well they embraced the learning opportunities that the day had to offer. We arrived back at school just before 6pm, with many children taking the
opportunity to have a quick nap on the return journey! We would like to thank the children for their politeness and enthusiasm throughout the day.”
The deadline for accepting your child's offer of a place in the club(s) and for all payments was 9am this morning and as we have once again experienced a high level of demand for most of the clubs on offer, a non-return of your child's acceptance letter and/or full payment by 9am on this date will be taken as a non-acceptance of the offer of a place in that Club and the place will be re-allocated to another pupil.
Thank you to all the parents that have returned acceptance forms and payments by this deadline: Club places and registers are now being finalised.
The Pupil Leadership Team (PLT) has recently been working on a new project sure to excite all: LGPS (Lyppard Grange Pupils’ Shop). The PLT will run LGPShop every other Friday lunchtime. There will be a balance of healthy and not so healthy snacks as well as other items. On Friday 22nd of April, pupils can bring up to 20p for sweets and 50p for healthy snacks and other items. At lunchtime, pupils with money can go to The Den where the Pupil Leadership Team will be serving (items must only be purchased after pupils have eaten their lunch). They then will be permitted to eat their foods over the rest of their lunchtime break or put it in their bag, eating it after school is over. As time progresses, we will amend the shop according to your needs. We’ll tell the children more in assembly next week. Remember LGPS – Lovely Goods - Prices Small.
