  • Year 3/4 visit @Bristol

    Fri 29 Apr 2016
    Report by Mr Leighfield:

“At 8.00 am on Tuesday 19th April, Year 3 and 4 children and staff arrived at school, excited about their trip to @Bristol.  During the day they had the opportunity to explore a whole range of interactive Science activities including making animations, driving a large hamster wheel, generating electricity as well as trying to cover themselves in a large bubble!  They also took part in a workshop where they programmed a Lego robot to navigate around a course.  Whilst lots of fun was had the activities will also inspire the inventions work that the children are carrying out in school with Wallace and Gromit. The children were excellent ambassadors for Lyppard Grange and we were particularly delighted with how well they embraced the learning opportunities that the day had to offer.  We arrived back at school just before 6pm, with many children taking the

opportunity to have a quick nap on the return journey! We would like to thank the children for their politeness and enthusiasm throughout the day.”

  • The Pupils' Shop opens its doors...

    Fri 22 Apr 2016
Today saw the launch of the very first Lyppard Grange Pupils' Shop with long queues of excited pupils (and staff!) waiting to make their purchases.
Well done to the shop's selling team for all their hard work.
    Next open: Friday 6th May

  • Club acceptance & payment deadline now reached

    Thu 21 Apr 2016

The deadline for accepting your child's offer of a place in the club(s) and for all payments was 9am this morning and as we have once again experienced a high level of demand for most of the clubs on offer, a non-return of your child's acceptance letter and/or full payment by 9am on this date will be taken as a non-acceptance of the offer of a place in that Club and the place will be re-allocated to another pupil.

Thank you to all the parents that have returned acceptance forms and payments by this deadline: Club places and registers are now being finalised.

  • Buyers in action...

    Tue 19 Apr 2016
The Lyppard Grange Pupils' Shop (LGPS) Buyers have been hard at work this afternoon with Mr Jackson, scouring the web for suitable merchandise to purchase for the launch of the Pupils' Shop on Friday lunchtime.
Don't forget to bring your money in (up to 20p for sweets and 50p for healthy snacks and other items) on Friday 22nd!
Remember: LGPS – Lovely Goods - Prices Small.
  • Accept Club Places by Thurs 21st April @ 9am

    Fri 15 Apr 2016
All offers of clubs for pupils have now been sent home. As always spaces for the clubs have been in high demand - more than 26% of all pupils in school requested a place in one of our clubs for which we were initially offering only 20 places! We have now doubled the spaces on offer in this club to try and accommodate more pupils and have also increased the size of several other clubs.

The final deadline for accepting places and submitting full payment is 9am on Thursday 21st April.
Due to high demand, any places not accepted by this date/time or without full payment will be allocated to another pupil.
  • Sport Relief thank you!

    Fri 15 Apr 2016
A huge thank you to everyone who helped to raise more than £1400 for Sport Relief, and also to Sainsburys for donating the prizes for our ‘Bake Off’ winners. If you still have money to send in please make sure it is with us by Monday 18th April.

Update on 29th April: The final grand total was £2,635.10. This is a phenomenal amount! A huge well done to everyone who took part.

  • A plea from the Pupil Leadership Team:

    Fri 15 Apr 2016
Could we please remind you that children should NOT be bringing their own toys into school unless it is something linked to their school work and also that water bottles should not contain squash or juice. It is not fair when some children follow the rules but others do not!
  • Exciting news from the Pupil Leadership Team: Pupils' Shop

    Fri 15 Apr 2016

The Pupil Leadership Team (PLT) has recently been working on a new project sure to excite all: LGPS (Lyppard Grange Pupils’ Shop). The PLT will run LGPShop every other Friday lunchtime. There will be a balance of healthy and not so healthy snacks as well as other items. On Friday 22nd of April, pupils can bring up to 20p for sweets and 50p for healthy snacks and other items. At lunchtime, pupils with money can go to The Den where the Pupil Leadership Team will be serving (items must only be purchased after pupils have eaten their lunch). They then will be permitted to eat their foods over the rest of their lunchtime break or put it in their bag, eating it after school is over. As time progresses, we will amend the shop according to your needs. We’ll tell the children more in assembly next week. Remember LGPS – Lovely Goods - Prices Small.
