Happy weekend - again!
It's been a busy September, and we're already zooming through October it seems! In writing, we're beginning to plan and write character descriptions of our own Greek monster. In maths, we've been working on partitioning numbers, ordering and comparing numbers and rounding to 10, 100, 1000, 10,000 and 100,000. Across our theme we're still learning about Ancient Greece with a focus on the city states of Athens and Sparta.
For homework this week please:
- Keep practising the KIRF - reading and writing numbers in numerals and words to 1,000,000
- read for 20 minutes a day (at least) and write this into your reading journal - a comment, a page number, your opinion or recommendation would all be fabulous to read.
- Please use Times Table Rock Stars - all tables have been set to match your child's current times table challenge. Use this for 10 minutes on garage and then do more games to earn coins and win your class battles. C'mon guys you've got this!
