After receiving a request for help from Worcester Environmental Group (WEG), children from Lyppard Grange Primary School’s Eco Committee and Gardening Club took part in the harvesting of rattle seeds at Old Aconbury Orchard on Friday 7th July. Mrs Tilley, Eco Lead received an email from Emese Burnip, the new biodiversity volunteer coordinator, at WEG asking for support in spreading biodiversity in the area and knew pupils would jump at the chance to help. The children harvested the yellow rattle seeds and proudly gave their seed filled envelopes to Paul Snookes, founder of the WEG, who will be arranging a planting session in August at Race Field meadows and Dugdale Drive.
