The Lyppard Grange Primary School Empowering children to be secure, engaged and equipped for life.

Friday 7th June 2024

We hope you have had a wonderful half term and are ready for the final few jammed packed weeks of Year 5!

There are lots of visits taking place this half term, so please ensure you check your emails for details and fill in the necessary Microsoft forms.

Reading: Children should read for at least 20 minutes every day and record their reading activities in their reading journal.  Both reading books and journals should be brought into school everyday.

Maths Challenge: Children should complete at least 10 minutes on TTRock Stars to practise their allocated times tables.  During the half term there was a whole school battle, the results are below. Well done to Mrs Tilley's class for coming in second place!

Maths homework:

This week, children have continued to learn how to multiply and divide by 10, 100 and 1000. To consolidate their learning they should complete at least one of the challenges below.  There is a place value chart attached to support you with this homework. Perhaps you could use coins, counters or buttons to make the numbers and move them to the left (if multiplying) and the right (if dividing). Homework should be handed in by Wednesday 12th June.
