The Governing Body works closely with the school’s Senior Leadership Team and staff to determine the strategic direction for the school. They have responsibility for monitoring the school’s work and provide challenge and support. As well as meeting each half term, governors visit school to meet with staff and to observe activity in classrooms. They receive regular updates from school staff on what is happening in school.
The Governing Body are working closely with the Leadership Team to support continued improvement ensuring high quality teaching, great learning opportunities, an engaging and relevant curriculum and good outcomes for all children.
The Governing Body has clear terms of reference and a schedule of activity for the year’s meetings. From time to time other committee and/or working groups are formed in response to particular developments or circumstances. The Governing Body does not currently have sub-committees as we are keen to ensure all governors have a full understanding of all aspects of the school.
Governors are committed to helping the school achieve its vision to 'empower all children to be secure, engaged and equipped for life.'
All of our governors can be contacted, in confidence, via the school office.
