Reading
Today you have two diary entries to read through. As you are reading them, we would like you to complete the know, infer, wonder grid below. You will need your responses from this task in tomorrow's reading session.

Theme 1
As you will have gathered, we are starting a new theme today called 'Lest We Forget'. In our second live session today we will be assigning you all a character whose journey you will follow across the course of the theme, so it is really important that you join the meeting if you can. We are also hoping to make use of breakout rooms on Teams so we can go into smaller groups and discuss our characters, so if you need headphones to make this easier, please remember to bring them with you.
Once we have finished with the live lesson, you can complete the task below. You will not be able to do this task unless you log on to Teams, as this is where the character document will be.
Theme 2
We are going to be exploring the area where your characters live in more detail and look at how it has changed over the last 80 years. Watch the video input first and then try the mapping activity. If you finish, you could always try doing some research of your own into Weymouth or Portland.
SPAG
We are revising conjunctions today. Start by watching the song all about them, then have a go at doing the function of the conjunction activity (ooo - I just created a subordinate clause there, can you see it?!) When you finish, check your answers (there's another one!) If you haven't got them all correct, then investigate which ones are wrong (and another!) Then try using some of them in a sentence.
