The Lyppard Grange Primary School Empowering children to be secure, engaged and equipped for life.

Friday 1st March 2024

This week children have been continuing to work on diary entries in our theme lessons.  They have practised using the technique of  'show not tell' to describe how a character is feeling and using informal language to create a friendly tone to their entries.  In Art they have designed a space themed picture focussing on a clear fore, middle and background.

Reading: You should be reading for at least 20 minutes every day and recording your activity in your reading journals.  Both reading books and journals should be brought into school everyday.

Maths Challenge: The tokens are building up as children continue to practise for at least 10 minutes on a garage session each week.  Remember, after you have completed those 10 minutes all the other sessions are unlocked for you. The results of this week's battles are below.

Congratulations to Mrs Tilley's class for their win!

Maths homework:  This week we have been recapping improper fractions and how to convert them into mixed numbers.  Children should complete at least one of the challenges below.
