Focus activity- Creative

After seeing the Dinosaur Egg this morning at the briefing, Dr Kit and Dr Beth would like us to paint or draw a picture of what you think the new species of dinosaur might look like. Use anything you have at home- paints, crayons, felt tip pens. Is it going to be a big dinosaur, a small one, a flying one a swimming one? Does it have a long tail or a long neck? We look forward to seeing your ideas. Please send them to us.

Focus activity- Phonics Activity

In the morning briefing the children will be recapping the letter formation of c, o, a, d, g and q. Please practise forming these in your Ground, Grass and Sky board we provided.

Another game you could play or adapt if you wanted would be...

I Spy the Sound

‘I Spy the Sound’ is a fun way to build phonics skills and phonemic awareness. In this variation of the classic game, ‘I Spy’, ask your child to spy words that begin with a certain sound, rather than a letter. For example, “I spy with my little eye, something beginning with mmm.”
