Wednesday

Focus Activity - Forest School

At school we would normally have Forest School on a Wednesday. We would like you to go for a walk, look in your garden or look out the window.

  • What local animals can you see and hear?
  • Where do these animals live?
  • Have a look at the information and find out some interesting facts about our local Wildlife!

Lolly - Creative Activity

After that, we would like you to create a picture of your favourite local animal and where it lives. You can use anything you like, felt tips, paint, collage materials or crayons. You could even use a few different things to make your image really stand out. You can write a few sentences about what you have created if you like.

Lolly Activity - Maths

Complete the bronze, silver or gold worksheet by answering the counting in 2s questions.

Peg Activity - Writing

Today we would like you to put yourself in Dr Rose’s shoes and tell us what you think she has seen and what she has been doing whilst she is in Antarctica. Remember to use your full stops, capital letters, finger spaces. You can also add in conjunctions and adjectives, giving us a bit more detail to your writing. For example; I saw a small black penguin with an orange beak. It was jumping in the icy water.

Focus Activity - Phonics

During the morning briefing the children will have done the flick through of previously taught phonemes. Follow the instructions below to support your child in playing the 'ow' and 'ou' sorting activity on espresso.

Focus Activity - SPaG mat
