The Lyppard Grange Primary School Empowering children to be secure, engaged and equipped for life.

Friday 15th March 2024

This week, children have been continuing to work on their diary entries. They have been effectively using 'show not tell' to describe how their character is feeling.  In Maths, we have moved on to learning how to calculate the perimeter of  rectangles, rectilinear shapes and polygons.  Children have been painting the middle grounds of their space themed art work and have sketched their foregrounds, ready for painting them next week.

Reading: Children should read for at least 20 minutes every day and record their reading activity in their reading journals.  Reading books and journals should be brought into school every day.

Maths Challenge: You should be practising your allocated times tables on TTRock Stars for at least 10 minutes on garage session.  This will then unlock the rest of the sessions.  If you complete your 10 minutes you earn a token for your class, and if your answer average is 95% or more you earn another token.  This week's tournament results are shown below. Well done, to Mrs Johnson's class on their win! Who will we be battling against this week?

Maths homework: Children have been learning how to calculate the perimeter of rectangles, rectilinear shapes and polygons this week.  For homework they should complete at least one of the tasks below.  Homework should be handed in by Wednesday 20th March.
