Dear parents,
Homework this week is in three parts.
1) We would mainly like children to focus on their work for the Year 4 performance. If children have lines, please work with them to help them learn these off by heart. We'll be encouraging children to do their scenes without scripts by the middle of next week. Please help them to use expression, remind them to talk slowly and clearly and think of gestures they might also use whilst speaking. If children are doing a dance, they have started these in school this week so please encourage them to practice and come up with new ideas for their next rehearsal with Mrs Grindrod on Tuesday. If your child is in orchestra, please encouage them to keep up little bits of practice on their instrument. Next orchestra rehearsals are next Monday and Thursday so please make sure children have their instruments and music in school on these days.
Thank you for your support with this.
2) We have given children a short SPAG sheet to complete. This is a recap of spelling, punctuation and grammar that we have already learnt this year. It shouldn't be anything new, just revision, but if children have forgotten some parts, please use BBC Bitesize to help. (Remember children, subordinate clauses don't make sense on their own).
3) Please keep practising times tables on Times Tables Rockstars. We have set up a battle between the classes. Which class will win?
Have a lovely weekend.
