Reading

Children should read for at least 20 minutes every day and record their reading activity in their Reading Journal.  Reading Journals and reading books should be brought into school every day.

Maths Challenge:

Children should practise their allocated times tables on TTRock Stars for at least 30 minutes.

Congratulations to Mrs Tilley's class for their win this week, which gives them their second hat-trick of the year! Well done to all the children who took part in the tournament, great teamwork Year 5!

PSHCE Homework:

This week has been Children’s Mental Health Week and the children have been learning about how to promote their own mental health. We have looked at physical exercise, where the children participated in the first intra house sports competition of the year, which was outside in the fresh air. They have also been doing mindfulness activities in the mornings that have included colouring, word searches and drawing. What we would like you to do for your homework is to create a poster around this year’s theme of ‘Lets Connect’. You need to consider how a healthy diet, physical exercise, getting a good’s night sleep and mindfulness can play its part to help with our mental health.
