The Lyppard Grange Primary School Empowering children to be secure, engaged and equipped for life.

Friday 28th April 2023

Reading:

Children should read for at least 20 minutes a day and record their reading activity in their Reading Journals.  Reading Journals and books should be brought into school every day.

Maths Challenge:

Children should practise their allocated times tables on TTRock Stars for at least 30 minutes.  Congratulations to Miss Campbell's class for winning this week, well done to all the children who took part!

Everyone should be taking part in these tournaments, as practising times tables is part of your homework. Who will be the winners next week?

Geography

Over the last two weeks children have been learning about the different biomes in South America.  For homework they should choose a biome and research it in detail, answering these questions:

  • Where is it located in South America?
  • What plants grow there?
  • What animals live there?
  • What is the climate like?

Children can research a biome we have covered in class, in more detail, or one that we haven't covered. They can record this information in any way they choose, a poster, a fact sheet or a PowerPoint presentation.  If you choose to create a PowerPoint presentation, please send it directly to [email protected] NOT the office email address. Below is a map South America showing the different biomes.

Homework should be handed in by Wednesday 3rd May 2023.
