Next week, on Thursday we will be doing a science experiment. In order to do this you will need:
cress seeds
soil
at least 5 sealable plastic bags
At the end of Children's Mental Health week, we hope you know how important you are, how we are here to help you, that we think about you, care about you and can't wait for you to join us again in the classroom. Remember how important it is to be kind, to yourself and others. A little bit of kindness goes a long way. Have a great weekend Year 3, we are sending you a big virtual hug Below is a link to the 'While We Can't Hug' video and there are some more activities to support your mental health.
Here are the details for this weeks live Rocksteady Feel Good Friday session - last week was very entertaining so if you fancy some musical fun why not join in!

TT Rock Stars
You should spend at least 30 minutes practising your times tables.
Today you need to spend about an hour on this task.
We need you to continue with your character description.
Remember that we are imitating the original and so should be acting like a magpie and stealing all the bright shiny bits!
Your writing will sound an awful lot like the original at this stage, but don't worry about that.
If you only wrote paragraph 1 on Wednesday then start with paragraph 2 and rewatch that part of Wednesday's video!
There is a second video in the Video Resource Centre, of a 'modelled write' for the next two paragraphs we are asking you to write. Watch it and magpie from it!
Today try to write 2 quality paragraphs (focus upon paragraph 3 and 4 from your boxed up plan).
We are looking for high quality word choices (having analysed parts of the Ice Palace you will know that this isn't always the use of long words, but of carefully selected and appropriate ones).
We are also looking for well punctuated sentences, with a capital letter and full stop and we would like you to use neat joined writing - this a first draft so its doesn't have to look perfect, it may well have a few crossings out in it as you change your mind - it just needs to look like you care!
The success criteria will guide you as to what you should include, as should your boxed up plan.
Maths
Today we will be using another piece of software called 2Graph to turn our data into a bar chart. Watch the video in the Video Resource Centre called 'Maths- bar charts- Friday', before choosing a task to complete.
Today you are going to carry out your own line by line analysis.
The activity sheets below will take you through the task and structure your questioning.
There is an accompanying video to support those completing the Bronze Task should you need it.
Science - Poles
This week we will be continuing our work on magnets. Click on the links below to watch the two short videos, before you complete the activity.
It's Friday so the last activity of the day would have been Golden Time.
Find your favourite toy, or game, or other activity (try not to use a screen as you will have been on it all day, instead try something different) spend half an hour relaxing. If there is someone at home who is able to play too then reward them with Golden time as well! You all deserve it.
Happy Weekend!
