The Lyppard Grange Primary School Empowering children to be secure, engaged and equipped for life.

Friday 21st June 2024

This term, we have been learning about bees and pollination. Bees are extremely important to the world, as without them, we wouldn’t have all the beautiful flowers around us or much of the food that we eat.

For homework this week you are going to be a ‘researcher’ and find out why it is so important to protect the bees.

Once you have completed your research, you might like to see if you can spot a bee in your garden or go on a walk. Observe them with an adult, from a distance, to see what they are doing (but remember not to harm them!)

See video clips and websites below to help with your research.

Once you’ve completed your research, we’d like you to create a poster to explain all the facts you have learnt about bees and why they are important for the planet. Make sure it is bright and colourful! We can’t wait to see your fantastic posters.
