Friday 22nd January

IT'S FRIDAY!!

You've completed another week of home learning Year 2! Well done!laugh

Friday means... Rocksteady's live lesson!

We know so many of you loved taking part last week so remember to tune in today at 1.30 - 2.00pm! The lesson is lots of fun and a real Friday treat!

Here is what will be covered in today's lesson:

Here is the link to the live lesson. Remember it starts at 1.30pm.

Reading

Today is our last day focussing on the story of ‘Rama and Sita’ so we would like you to show off what you have learned. For the activity, you need to think about what you have learnt about the characters from the story. Remember to write with neat, joined handwriting.

Writing

It’s time to finish your Chinese New Year race stories! Today you need to use your story maps from yesterday to help you write the second part of the story. Remember to use your success criteria to help you make your writing amazing. We have also uploaded a word mat to help spell tricky words from the story.

Number Magic

Here is today’s Number Magic for you to complete. We have linked below a lovely warm up game for you to have a go at before you start your Number Magic task today (today's game will help you to practise using multiplication). Remember to complete just one of the challenges, you don’t need to do all three!

Maths

To round off our week of learning our times tables, for your task today we would like you to spend some time playing on your new Times Tables Rock Stars!! Woohoo!laugh

See the video below for a tutorial of how to log in/use Times Tables Rock Stars.

P.E

As we would have had P.E in school today, we would like you to do some physical activity at home as it is very important that we stay active whilst at home. Today we have given you a link to a 'PE with Joe Wicks'. If you would prefer to do something else then that is fine! Just make sure you do something that raises your heart rate.

GOLDEN TIME!!

It's Friday today, which means... GOLDEN TIME!

Take out some time out of your learning day to spend at least 30 minutes doing something you love. This could be reading a book, playing a game, playing with your favourite toy, spending time with your family, going for a walk, playing with your pet, spending some time outside, etc.

Story

Have a listen to the final part of our story at some point in your day. Go the the video resource centre to find it.
