EYFS Visit to Smart Trees

After receiving a sparkling envelope from Santa, the children were thrilled to discover they had been invited to Smart Trees to visit him in his grotto – their first school trip! The Elephants and Crocodiles worked very hard beforehand writing letters to Santa explaining what they wanted for Christmas.

On the day, we wrapped up warm, put on our wellies and set off. We were greeted by Santa’s helpers who explained to us that we needed to search through the Christmas trees and follow the Christmas trail. Then it was time to enter the grotto! The children posted their letters, met and stroked the reindeer, sat in Santa’s sleigh and made a wish in a wishing well. Finally, it was time to meet Santa!

In the afternoon, we went on a tractor trail and played in the adventure playground. We did get slightly muddy as it was very slippy!

It was a fantastic day at Smart Trees. The children were incredibly well behaved and listened to all the adults who worked there and were polite. Despite being tired and muddy, the children went home with big smile and a present from Santa too!
