Focus Activity - Forest School
If you can, go for a walk or play in the garden. Have a look see how many thing you can tick off on the scavenger hunt list. If you can't get outside today there is also one for indoors. You could have a go at writing your own scavenger hunt for somebody else that lives in your house.
Peg Activity - Writing
Have a look at the rhyming pairs sheet. Can you find which words go together by rhyming? There may be more than one rhyme for each word. You can complete this however you like by cutting them out and matching them or drawing lines to each rhyme. You could then have a go at writing them in a silly sentence such as; Last night I might have taken a bite from the light!
Lolly Activity - Maths
Use your addition and subtraction skills to crack the code and find the sea creatures.
Focus Activity - Phonics
During the morning briefing the children will have flicked through the previously taught digraphs, trigraphs and tricky words.
Today we would like you to have a go at rolling a die and reading the words with the 'oy' sound in. Have a look at this youtube video to support if needed.
You can play this game one of two ways;
1. You can roll the die and read all the words on the line (Phase 5 Roll and Read Mat a e - YouTube)
2. With a partner, roll the die, read one of the words and colour it in. The other person then rolls the die, then colour their word in. The winner is the person with the most squares coloured in.
Focus Activity - Tricky Words
We are going to have a go at practising some of our tricky words. We are going to give you a word a day to practise. Today your tricky word is kind.
Choose one of the options, or anything you can find at home, and write the tricky word for today using that resource. See how many times you can write the word in a minute! Then choose 3 more resources and rewrite kind using;
