Good afternoon,
We've had another busy week in Year 5, ending with our whole school carol service, which was a delight. This will be our last homework of the year. Please scroll down to find out about how Year 5 have been learning to do short multiplication.
Reading
Please spend 30 minutes daily enjoying some quiet reading time. The benefits of reading are well-known; its fun, you can learn new words and it can be a shared activity. Feel free to ask questions about the text such as,
"What is your impression of this character?"
"What do these words make you think of the character?"
"Find and copy a word that means the same as ___."
TTRS
As always, we have been impressed with both classes working extremely hard to win the tournament this week. More and more of you are logging in daily to improve your knowledge of the multiplication tables and earn coins for your class. This week, it has been a well earned victory for .... 5RJ! Congratulations! It was a close battle. Remember to use this resource daily for at least 20 minutes. Thank you.
Have a wonderful weekend and we look forward to seeing you on Monday.
All the best,
The Year 5 Team.
