During the Autumn term the children had an exciting visit to the Black Country Living Museum where they experienced what it would have been like to be a child in Victorian times. Although the weather was cold, the children made the most of the experience and fully immersed themselves in the day. They had the opportunity to find out about what it would have been like to work in a mine and how dangerous it would have been. They saw explosive demonstrations that blew them away! During the day they visited different houses to see the living conditions of poor, middle and upper-class Victorian children and finally they visited the school house for a lesson with very strict ‘Sir’.
