Friday

Timetable for the day

9am – Teams Meeting:  Set up the day and Congrats Assembly. There is no follow up work from this.

Other tasks - you can do these at any time across the day

  • Number Magic- Day 5
  • PE
  • Independent maths task
  • Bug Club Reading Task
  • Spelling
  • Mr Men Variation Task
  • And it's Friday today, which means... GOLDEN TIME!

Take out some time out of your learning to spend at least 30 minutes doing something you love. This could be reading a book, playing a game, spending time with your family, going for a walk, playing with your pet, spending some time outside, but whatever you do, enjoy!

Remember to pace yourself and do what you can. We loved seeing work from so many of you last week, so please do email in any work which you would like us to see – make sure you do this from your school email address or get your parents to do it. If you need help accessing your school email, let us know.

Have a great weekend!

Number Magic

Here is your number magic for today. Remember to use the answers to self-mark.

Independent Maths

Today you are going to be continuing your work on decimals, with the focus being on dividing by 10/100 and 1000. It is important that you watch this video first, then complete your independent activity. Click on the link below and then select the video shown here.

Bug Club Reading

Now that you have finished your Bug Club books, you need to complete the follow up tasks below. Read the instructions carefully so that you know what to do.

Theme

To continue our work on evolution and adaptation, we are going to start investigating inheritance, which is to do with characteristics that are inherited from parents. To help us with this we are going to use Mr Men and Little Miss characters. Watch the video we have recorded first which will hopefully explain everything and then have a go at the task.

Spelling

Today we have another video for you linked to your spelling rule. Watch it carefully and do what the teacher asks you to do.

For all groups The teacher will remind you of the spelling rules and then there will be a ten word spelling test, just like we do in school. Do this as responsibly as you can – no sneakily looking at the words before you write them down as you’ll only be cheating yourself.

PE

To really get your hearts pumping, first we would like you to complete this Joe Wicks workout. We will be doing it in school too – I wonder who will work the hardest?!

Then you are going to be practicing some of the skills of dodgeball. Hopefully you have two balls of some sort at home which you can use for this – it does not have to be a dodgeball. For the Wall Catch activity, use an outside wall and check with whoever is looking after you if it is ok to throw a ball at it.

Rocksteady

Rocksteady are hosting live lessons every Friday for you to get involved with. The lesson will run from 2.00-2.30pm, just click on the link below to join.
