This week, children have been learning about percentages, decimals and fractions and finding equivalences between them. In theme, they have been getting to know the character of Jamie Drake more. In whole class reading, we have been enjoying reading poems about space and in art we have been creating our background and middle grounds for our space art work.

Reading: You should be reading for at least 20 minutes every day and recording your activity in your reading journals.  Both reading books and journals should be brought into school everyday. Please remember to read a variety of books. We recommend you choose from our reading spine collection across the year so that you are reading a range of genres and writing styles.

Maths Challenge: The tokens are building up as children continue to practise for at least 10 minutes on a garage session each week.  Remember, after you have completed those 10 minutes all the other sessions are unlocked for you. The results of this week's battles are below. 

Homework: This week's homework is about modal verbs. Please read the guidance at the top of the sheet as it explains what modal verbs are and when they are used. Remember homework is due back in classes by Wednesday 13th March.
