After a mind blowing trip to the National Space Centre, children in Year 5 concluded their awesome work on all things space by creating an out-of-this-world space museum for Nunnery Wood Primary School to come and enjoy. The children spent a long time planning, designing and creating their museum, using cardboard, paper, paint and many other Earth-based resources to help them. Once the Nunnery Wood children arrived, they were warmly greeted by our Year 5s, who quickly took to the task of showing everyone around. The children from Nunnery Wood walked around beaming with delight as those from Lyppard Grange were not only superb hosts, but also engaged the children with a wide range of activities that helped to teach them further information. Eventually, it was time for the children to leave, despite neither school wanting it to end. The Nunnery Wood children and staff were so impressed and one visiting teacher commented, “We all really enjoyed it and learnt such a lot!” We are so proud of all the hard work that went into producing such a wonderful and informative day.
