During the first half of the Autumn Term, Year 3 worked hard to achieve a number of tricky challenges set for them by Mr Cadbury; each challenge earned them a piece of the Golden Ticket. These challenges included creating recipes for and baking our own Chocolate cakes, designing and making ‘lickable’ wallpaper using printing and creating a marketing campaign for our own chocolate bars. In the week before October half-term, the final piece of the ticket arrived via paper aeroplane! This final piece meant that Year 3 were treated to a visit to Mr Cadbury’s Cadbury World.
The coach was packed full of VERY excited children (and adults). There was a very loud cheer and lots of excited exclamations when we finally pulled in through the gates. Everyone enjoyed each of the elements of the visit with favourites being the Chocolate Bean car ride; chocolate tasting; pretending to be a chocolate bean on the moving benches and the overwhelming scent of chocolate in the air. On return to school some very keen parent helpers shared out the samples of chocolate and everyone went home with a chocolatey feast! Thank you to Year 3 for their behaviour and we hope that you enjoyed your day!
