Good morning everyone!
I am so impressed with all the hard work that you completed last week. Thank you so much for sharing it with me. I can't wait to see what you produce this week.
Don't forget our Teams meeting at 10:30am this morning! Please don't worry if you can't make it.
Just as a normal day in school, Maths and English are maximum 1 hour sessions and Reading, Spelling and Number Magic are maximum 1/2 hour sessions.
Today your activities include Reading, Maths, SPAG, Number Magic and Spelling.
Please do feel free to email me your work. I love to see it.
For your reading task today, I would like you to complete a reading comprehension. It is all about Tigers! I can't wait to hear what you learn about them from your reading! Read the text through carefully and then have a go at answering the questions. The answers will all be within the text so remember to go back to it when answering questions to check that you are right!
Once you have finished the questions, you can also find the answers below.
Before the half-term, we were working on solving missing number problems in Maths. Can you remember our 3 steps to solving a missing number problem?
Step one - Draw your bar model. (Which is the whole number? Which is the part?)
Step two - Write out your inverse question. (The inverse to addition is subtraction)
Step three - Fill in the missing number in your bar model and question.
Now have a go at the missing number problem activities below. Good luck!
Today we are going to be looking at the use of commas in Lists. We use commas to separate items in lists so that the list is clear. We don't use a comma between the last two items on the list - instead we use the word 'and'.
We will talk about the use of commas in more detail during our Morning session, but I will link the Flipchart below just incase you are unable to make the meeting this morning or you need a little bit of a reminder when you are completing your activity.
As I know how much you love your Number Magic, I have included another Number Magic for you to complete today. Complete this just as you would at school, choose your questions, Bronze, Silver or Gold and work out the answers for each of the five questions.
Remember don't do all 3 sections of questions - Choose either Bronze questions, Silver questions or Gold questions. You should only be doing 5 questions overall.
Make sure you use your bar models and number lines to help you, and if you have a ruler nearby, remember it also makes the perfect number line!
Today we are looking at spelling the sound 'j' with 'dge', 'ge' and 'g'. To help us with our spelling we need to follow these rules:
We will talk about these spelling rules in more detail during our Morning session, but I will link the Flipchart below just incase you are unable to make the meeting this morning or you need a little bit of a reminder when you are completing your activity.
