Today we would like you to complete your planning sheet for your persuasive letter to Eric to persuade him to allow Cosmos to take us to another planet. This will be our 9am live session.

Please bring the sheet for your allocated level with you to the session. Try to ensure that you get as much detail down as possible to help you with your writing.

Last week we started our new puzzle piece. This week we are going to continue with our ‘Celebrating Difference’ puzzle piece by learning about racism and the importance of respect. We will have a second live session on this. This will be at the following times:

-5JM at 11:30am

-5HB at 1pm

You will need to complete activity 1 before this session and bring it with you. You can complete activity 2 either before or after the session.

Maths

Today we will be continuing to learn about converting metric measures. Today’s lesson will focus on converting millimetres, centimetres and metres. You need to watch the lesson below and then need to complete the activity below at your relevant level.

Reading for Pleasure

Today we would like you to take at least 30 minutes to read some text of your choice. This could be a recipe, a book, a newspaper article or something from the Newsround website. Whatever you choose, just make sure it is something that you enjoy.

Today we will continue with our new spellings ending with ‘able’ or ‘ible’. Complete the activity below.

Forest School

As today will be Forest School for the children in school, we would like you to complete your own Forest School activity at home! We would like you to explore an outside area – this could be your own garden but
ideally we would like you to go for a walk – and choose natural items to create a new and
natural representation of solids, liquids and gases.
