Peg Activity - Writing

See if you can label parts of a castle.

Lolly Activity - Maths

Have a go at a couple of the number bonds to 10 and 20 education city games.

Then see if you can use your number bonds to 10 and 20 knowledge to complete the missing number bonds.

Focus Activity - Phonics

During the morning briefing the children will flick through the previously taught digraphs, trigraphs and tricky words.

Dice game

For this game you will need to print the nets of a cube or have 3 blank dice to hand. On the first cube in red please write one of the following on each face – d, h, st, f, y, n, on the second cube (yellow or orange) please write ear x3, eer x3 and on the final cube in green please write d x2, n, 3xblank.

Why have we got blank green spaces on the dice?

The children are used to playing this game at school. They should know to roll the red, then orange and then the green. Once they have rolled them they can then work out what the word says. Once your child has blended the word, do they know if it is a real or nonsense word, can they give a meaning or put the real word into a sentence? Please discuss the meaning of the word if your child is unsure.

They don’t need to write the words down, but they can if they would like to.

Extra Activities

See if you can use a mirror or photograph to draw yourself as a king or a queen.
